Noche estrellada

Decían que por la noche el mar se volvía un manto de estrellas reflejadas, era como flotar por el universo entre la vida y la muerte. Nunca creí poder verlo con mis propios ojos, pero ahora estaba aquí, meciéndome sobre el agua con la vista fija en esas estrellas que flotaban sin vida.

No pude hacer otra cosa que no fuera apartar los cuerpos con los remos, mientras el barco se terminaba de hundir a mis espaldas.

They said that at night the sea became into a mantle full of reflected stars, it was like floating through the universe, between life and death. I never believed I could see it with my own eyes, but now I am here, swaying over water with my sight fixed on those starts that were fleeting without life.

I could not do anything, other than separate the bodies with the paddles, while the ship was just finishing from drowning behind my back.
